Haynes workshop manual for the Honda C50, C70 and C90, covering production from 1967 to 1995. One thing to be clear about: this is a Haynes manual, not the Honda factory service manual. Haynes is written for the home mechanic working with ordinary tools and regularly offers workarounds where Honda specifies a special service tool.
The machines: air-cooled overhead-valve singles with a centrifugal clutch and a semi-automatic gearbox with no clutch lever — the Super Cub layout. The three capacities (49, 72 and 89 cc) share a common structure, and the manual works through shared chapters with model-specific notes. It covers both the early points ignition bikes and the later CDI models.
Jobs this manual actually answers: setting the points and ignition timing on early bikes; cleaning and adjusting the Keihin carburettor; replacing the centrifugal clutch; valve clearances; rewiring the 6V system and converting to 12V, by far the most common job on a restored Cub.
